Ford releases official details for 2011 Mustang V6 – 305 horsepower, 6-speed transmissions

The 2011 Ford Mustang puts 305 high-performance horses in the hands of V-6 coupe buyers with a new all-aluminum double-overhead-camshaft (DOHC) engine that delivers 31 mpg on the highway with a six-speed automatic transmission.
The all-new six-speed automatic is joined by a six-speed manual transmission for the shift-it-yourself crowd, while handling and cornering is bolstered by the addition of Electric Power Assist Steering (EPAS) and a host of suspension improvements.

Galpin Auto Sports builds custom 1969 Mustang live at SEMA

World-renowned Galpin Auto Sports (GAS), the innovative team behind MTV’s Pimp My Ride television program and a division of the nation’s largest volume Ford dealer, Galpin Ford, built a striking muscle car from the ground up as thousands looked on at the 2009 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show in Las Vegas. Vaughn Gittin Jr. unveils carbon fiber RTR-C Mustang at SEMA

Professional drifter Vaughn Gittin Jr. is trying his hand at building cars, and his first attempt made its debut at the 2009 SEMA Show. Named the RTR-C, this 2010 Mustang features a body made entirely of carbon fiber. The lightweight material is also featured throughout the interior, helping to shave more than 400 pounds off the car. Today, at the 2009 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Steve M. Saleen, President and CEO of SMS Supercars, announced the formation of his nationwide sales, distribution and installation network SMS Superparts.
