Stainless Works has announced a new line of longtube headers for the 2011 Mustang GT. The system is tig welded, constructed of 304 stainless steel and features 1 7/8″ primary tubes with 3/8″ thick flanges. Both a road-legal version with h-pipes and catalytic converters or an off-road version without cats is available. Pricing ranges from $950.00 for the base header system to $1,390.00 for the full off-road system.

It’s been just a few weeks since the 2011 Mustang hit dealerships, and already the new 5.0-liter v8 has been terrorizing drag strips. Evolution Performance of Aston, PA got its hands on one of the very first and immediately started working on preparing the car for the NMRA Atco, NJ event. Ford’s SVT engineers recently took out the new 2011 Shelby GT500 to Virginia International Raceway to see how the car would perform, and the results are nothing less than impressive. Thanks to the weight savings of the new aluminum block engine and the re-tuned suspension, the 2011 GT500 lapped the course over eight seconds faster than the 2010 model. Shelby American has announced will expand the 2011 Shelby GT350 program to offer a normally aspirated version aimed at competition in Sports Car Club of America events and allow the street car to be ordered with an automatic transmission. The GT350 will be offered in both normally aspirated and supercharged versions as part of a post-title program through select dealers across the United States.

The DUB Edition Mustang is based on Ford’s outstanding new 3.7-liter V-6 Mustang and will be available this fall.
