Last year Motortrend held a comparison test between the 2010 Ford Mustang GT, the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS and the 2010 Dodge Challenger R/T. The Camaro SS narrowly won that fight, but for this latest test the Mustang brought a bigger knife to the fight in the form of the new 5.0-liter V8. Needless to say, the 2011 Mustang GT ran away with the competition, trouncing the Camaro and Challenger in acceleration, braking and handling tests. The editors called the Mustang “mature, adult, grown up, but still fun and sexy.” The Mustang also received praise for its new 6-speed transmission, the high quality interior, and its bang-for-the-buck. You can read the full comparison test over at Motortrend’s web site.
