New Product: Brenspeed Power Packages add up to 72 horsepower to the 2011 Mustang 5.0

Brenspeed is making it easy to add horsepower to your 2011 Mustang 5.0 thanks to their new Power Packages. They are currently available in two stages, with the Stage 1-A kit adding 60 horsepower while the Stage2-A kit providing a boost of 72 horsepower.  Each of the systems retains the factory catalytic converters, although you can choose the off-road exhaust option that adds an additional 5 to 10 horsepower.

Video: Kooks 2011 Mustang 5.0 headers and exhaust in detail

Kooks introduced their new longtube header system and cat-back exhaust for the 2011 Mustang 5.0 earlier this month, and they have now produced a short video that shows an up-close view of the system and as well as a few sound clips. The cat-back exhaust, part #60-43-201150GT-CATBA, is one of the highest quality on the market featuring 304 stainless steel, mandrel-bent tubing, 3″ polished oval mufflers, and 4″ slash-cut tips. DUB Edition Mustang package priced at $3,599, available at dealerships now

Ford announced the DUB Edition Mustang V6 back in May, and it has now officially hit showroom floors. The limited edition pony car was presented to the public at Galpin Ford in Van Nuys, CA, who is the first dealership in the country to have the car available for purchase. The DUB Mustang will be available from any Ford dealership in the United States and Canada starting next week. Video: Griggs Racing GR40TT Mustang takes on the Spectre 341 Challenge

Spectre Performance held its first annual 341 Challenge this summer, a hill climb up Nevada Highway 341 near Virginia City, NV. Dozens of car enthusiasts brought out their sports cars to tackle the 5.2 mile long paved course with 22+ turns and a 1,216 rise in elevation. Shelby considering additional models including V6, Twin-Turbo GT500

Shelby is considering several new aftermarket Mustang projects including a twin-turbo package for the 2007-2009 GT500 and a performance package for the 2010-2011 Mustang GT and Mustang V6. Shelby is currently asking its customers for feedback to decide which models to produce, and it seems likely that the 2011 GT350 could be joined by at least one additional Mustang in the Shelby lineup.

Shelby American opens up new Speed Shop at Las Vegas facility
