Video: Livernois Motorsports Shelby GT1000R on the dyno

Livernois Motorsports has built some impressive Mustangs over the years, but their latest project might just be the most impressive. Dubbed the GT1000R, this 2009 Shelby GT500 sports a Ford GT aluminum block bored to 358ci with a 4.0-liter Whipple supercharger, custom Diamond pistons, Carrillo rods, CNC ported cylinder heads, triple Ford GT fuel pumps, Kooks long tube headers, BMR suspension components, 10-point roll cage and more.

Livernois Motorsports recently put the Shelby GT1000R on the dyno, and it put out some insane numbers: 1006 horsepower and 916 lb-ft torque at the rear wheels. You can watch two separate dyno runs in the video below, and be sure to turn up the speakers.
