Video: Corsa previews its Ultimate Touring exhaust system for the 2011 Shelby GT500

Corsa hasn’t quite yet released its Pro Touring exhaust for the 2011 Shelby GT500, part #14320, but they have released a video of the system already installed that gives a good idea of what it will sound like. The video provides clips from just about every angle – behind the car idling, revving, driving away, more than one drive-by, a full-throttle launch, and of course a few from inside the car. Corsa’s claim to fame of no drone seems to be true with this system as well, as the exhaust …

Featured: Bill Switzer’s supercharged 2006 Mustang GT

Bill Switzer knows what it’s like to be young and own a Mustang. He purchased his first at the age of 19, a bright red 1985 GT hatchback. “It didn’t take too long before I started modding it. I installed a bigger cam, carb, and intake manifold along with headers, cat delete, and nitrous,” he remembers. “It was a fun car!” More Mustangs soon followed including a 1988 Saleen hatchback that Bill bought brand new and then a white GT hatchback in 1990.
Fast forward fifteen years to 2005 and Bill …

Video: Motortrend pits the 2011 Ford Mustang 5.0 against the BMW M3

A comparison test between the 2011 Ford Mustang GT and the BMW M3 doesn’t make sense at first, but a closer look at both their specs reveals that maybe it’s not such a crazy idea. Both have aluminum block V8s with nearly identical outputs – 414 horsepower for the M3 and 412 horsepower for the Mustang. Despite a $30,000 price difference, Motortrend thought it was a good idea to put the two head-to-head in a performance test.
Even though the Mustang weighed nearly 100 pounds more than the M3, it edged …

New Product: Lethal Performance 3.5-inch aluminum driveshaft for the 2011 Mustang 5.0

One of the weaknesses of the S197 Mustang has always been the driveshaft. The stock two-piece unit is heavy, which doesn’t allow as much power to reach the rear wheels. The same goes for the new 2011 Mustang 5.0, but thankfully Lethal Performance of Wellington, Florida have already developed a solution. Their new 3.5-inch one-piece aluminum driveshaft weighs just 19 pounds, a savings of 29 pounds compared to the stock unit. The driveshaft features solid joints, a new rear pinion yoke, and all hardware necessary for installation.
