Saleen hasn’t officially released pricing on its 2011 S302 Mustang, but when we saw one last weekend at the Mustangs at Queen Mary Show we made sure to sneak a look at the window sticker. Turbonetics releases turbo tuner kit for the 2005-2009 Mustang GT

Turboneticshas announced the release of the 2005-09 Ford Mustang Tuner Kit for those wanting to customize their own turbo setup. The kit is available for 2005-2009 Mustang GTs with manual transmissions and comes with many of the same items as the complete kit including the 60 Series ceramic ball bearing turbo, a 60mm compressor inducer and a Spearco front-mounted intercooler. Other items like spark plugs, injectors, and tuning is not included.

Video: MMR Shelby GT500 race car debuts at the PSCA Nationals

Last month we brought you a sneak preview of Modular Mustang Racing’s third generation race car, a 2010 Shelby GT500 Race Car packing a Ford Racing 5.4L aluminum block V8 with Stage 3 ported heads, Stage 3R turbo cams, a custom sheet metal manifold, billet steel crankshaft, Manley pistons and connecting rods, and twin 80mm Garrett turbochargers. Old meets new: Retrobuilt classic Boss 302 conversion for the S197 Mustang

For those Mustang fans that want the styling of the classic Boss 302 with the convenience and performance of the new S197 Mustang, Retrobuilt of Nixa, Missouri has a possible solution. Video: Fastlane’s turbocharged 2011 Mustang GT runs 10.4 @ 133 mph

The big aftermarket news last week was the testing of the new supercharger systems for the 2011 Mustang 5.0 at the drag strip. First VMP Tuning ran low 11s in a Roush-powered Mustang and then Lethal Performance followed that with a near identical time with a 2011 Mustang with the FRPP/Whipple supercharger system.

2010 Mustangs at the Airtel Plaza Hotel

The Mustang Club of America held its annual West Coast show today at the Airtel Plaza Hotel in Van Nuys, CA, hosted by the Mustang Owners Club of California. The event, which is directly across from the Van Nuys airport, isn’t nearly as large as mega shows in Southern California like Fabulous Fords at Knotts or Mustangs at the Queen Mary, but it makes up for it with and intimate environment and a high quality selection of cars.

Motor Trend tests the 2011 Shelby GT350 prototype, hits 0-60 mph in 3.7 seconds

Motor Trend magazine got the very first chance to test out the 2011 Shelby GT350 prototype that was unveiled at Barrett-Jackson back in January, and the results are nothing short of impressive. With its supercharged 5.0-liter V8 putting out 525 horsepower, the Shelby was able to reach 60 mph in 3.7 seconds and pass the quarter mile mark in just 12.0 seconds flat at 121 mph. Ford issues TSB regarding clutch problems for the 2011 Mustang GT

Ford has officially released a TSB (10-19-4)  for 2011 Mustang GTs with the 6-speed manual transmission regarding clutch problems. The TSB was issued following reports from owners who experienced “clutch stayout” during high rpm shifts, meaning the clutch would stay on the floor even after the gear was engaged and the clutch was released. The TSB affects 2011 Mustangs built on or before April 25, 2010.

Rehagen Racing 2011 Mustang wins NASA’s American Iron National Championship

The S197 Mustang has been very successful in both national and international road racing competitions, winning championships in Grand-Am’s Sports Car Challenge, SCCA’s World Challenge, and the FIA GT4 European Cup. The 2011 Mustang is now looking to be a formidable race car as well with a win at NASA’s American Iron national championship at Miller Motorsports Park this past weekend, driven by Dean Martin.
