McLeod announces new clutch lineup for the 2011 Mustang 5.0

McLeod Racing has officially announced the availability of its new clutches for the 2011 Mustang GT, allowing owners of the new 5.0 multiple to choose a clutch that meets their specific needs.

RST Twin Disc:

Intended for the high horsepower street fan, the RST Street twin clutch kit is an economically priced twin disc clutch kit that does not include a flywheel ( you use your existing flywheel). Able to handle 800hp, this clutch can handle almost any horse-power you can throw at it and still remain streetable. Organic lined clutch discs will provide smooth engagement with a soft pedal effort to make this clutch kit ideal for the street peformance enthusiast. Kit Includes: Pressure Plate, two organic friction discs, floater plate, adapter ring & pilot tool.

RXT Twin Disc:

The RXT Street Twin clutch kit is an ideal clutch for the extreme horsepower street enthusiast with an economically priced clutch kit that does not include a flywheel. Able to hold up to 1000hp, the extreme version of the RST clutch kit is for those who have kicked it up another notch and are still streetable. Ceramic facings on the clutch discs provide slightly aggressive engagement with a soft pedal effort will make this clutch suitable for most street performance enthusiast. Kit includes: Pressure Plate, two ceramic friction discs, floater plate, adapter ring & pilot tool.

Street Twin:

In 1974 with the rising popularity of power adders such as Nitrous,Superchargers & Turbochargers, McLeod recognized the need for a clutch assembly that was street friendly, yet still capable of handeling up to 1,200 horsepower, thus the Street Twin was born! These clutches are the perfect choice for racers looking for a lightweight, high torque capacity unit. They are designed to be used for oval track, road racing and dry lakes applications. These units are offered in single disc (500ft tq) double disc (900 ft tq) and triple disc (1500 ft tq) configurations to meet the harshest needs in the industry. Available with both Pin Drive and Strap Drive.
