Last month Roush unveiled its most potent version of the 2011 Mustang yet, the 5XR. The company’s latest pony car makes 525 horsepower and 465 lb-ft torque from the new 5.0L V8 thanks to the company’s new supercharger, and with Roush’s legendary suspension tuning the 5XR is no doubt one of the highest performing Mustangs you can buy from a dealer. It will only be for a select few, though, with just 150 scheduled to be produced.
There were only a few renderings available of the 5XR when Roush first released details about the car, but the company has just posted some fresh new images of the car out and about on the road. The 5XR doesn’t look too much different than any of the other 2010+ Mustangs in the Roush lineup with the standard body kit, but the hockey stick badges on the front fenders and logo in the rear faux gas cap help distinguish the car. The new Roush billet grille can be found up front. You can see all of the images for yourself in the high-res gallery below.
