SEMA 2010: Kenne Bell offers first look at its 2011 Mustang supercharger, announces pricing

Kenne Bell didn’t have an official presence at the SEMA show this year, but their 2011 Mustang R&D car was on display at the Hypertech booth, and it gave us our first glimpse at their upcoming supercharger system for the new 5.0L V8. The kit features Kenne Bell’s liquid-cooled 2.8L Mammoth supercharger, which the company claims can handle up to an incredible 1400 horsepower. Other features include a 4.5″ MAF built into the intake, 52 lb/hr fuel injectors, an 80mm rear induction manifold and a Hypertech flash programmer with Kenne Bell’s calibration. The supercharger comes in a hard black anodized or polished finish and is 50 state legal.

Kenne Bell also dropped some new information on the kit including horsepower ratings and pricing. The company claims the system will produce 665 horsepower and 580 lb-ft torque (at the crank) on 94 octane. Pricing is set at $6,599, with options including the polished finish ($500), competition 60 lb/hr fuel injectors ($60), and an 8-rib pulley system ($359). Customers can deduct $155 if they choose to forgo the Hypertech flash device with the Kenne Bell tune. You can see pictures of the Kenne Bell 2011 Mustang supercharger system below.
