Classic Design Concepts 1967 Flashback Mustang

Back in 2007 Classic Design Concepts unveiled the “Flashback” Mustang featuring a new Dynacorn body modified by CDC with a modern Shelby GT500 drivetrain. The demo car made its debut at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas and won the Best of Show award from Ford. Now the award-winning car is up for sale, and will go to the highest bidder at Barrett-Jackson’s 2011 auction in Scottsdale, Arizona. As with all of BJ’s auctions, there will be no reserve on the car so someone could walk away with quite a deal. The Flashback is quite a looker with its Blue Pearl Paint, though, and we fully expect it to easily command a six figure price tag.

Vehicle Details, Lot #997:

Features a Ford Racing 5.4L Supercharged GT500 crate engine, Tremec T56 6-speed transmission, Currie 9″ differential with 31 spline axles, Trac-Lok with 3.50 gears, Ford Racing stainless steel headers and custom stainless steel dual exhaust, RRS power rack & pinion steering, RRS adjustable coilover billet front shocks with 1 1/8″ stabilizer, Watts 3-link rear suspension with adjustable coilover shocks, 4-wheel power disc brakes, Forgeline 3-piece forged aluminum wheels, Dunlap tires, custom interior package with black leather trim, Vintage Air, JVC premium stereo system, power windows, door locks and remote keyless entry, Classic Design Concepts body kit with halogen headlights and LED taillights. The paint is Sherwin-Williams Planet Blue Pearl with Vintage Gold stripes. Recent driveline and suspension adjustments, improvments and enhancements. The car is new including the Dynacorn body.

1967 Classic Design Concepts “Flashback” Mustang awards:

  • SEMA 2007 Ford Best in Show and Outstanding Achievement in Design
