Multimatic Motorsports Mustang Boss 302R finishes second in Grand-Am 200

Fighting tooth and nail for most of the race and much as was the case in 2010, a Ford Mustang would doggedly fight with a BMW for first place for much of Friday’s Continental Tires Sports Car Challenge’s Grand-Am 200.
Unfortunately, the BMW prevailed much as it had in 2010, though this time the No. 15 Multimatic Motorsports’ Ford Mustang Boss 302R of Joe Foster and Scott Maxwell disallowed a BMW podium sweep.
Placing second to pole-sitters Nick Longhi and Matt Plumb’s No. 13 Rum Bum …

Vaughn Gittin Jr.’s Mustang to be powered by a Ford Racing 5.4L V8 for the 2011 season

Vaughn Gittin Jr. dominated the 2010 Formula Drift season from start to finish by making six of seven podiums, but that doesn’t mean he will be resting on his laurels for 2011. Vaughn’s Mustang is getting yet another makeover for the upcoming season including a brand new engine. Replacing the supercharged 5.0L V8 is a naturally aspirated 5.4L V8 from Ford Racing built by Huffaker Engineering. Last night Barrett-Jackson auctioned off dozens of high-quality collector cars, none more desirable than than a one-off 2012 Mustang Boss 302 Laguna Seca painted in Grabber Blue. Custom 2011 Mustang sells at Barrett-Jackson for $91,000

We usually don’t see too many modern cars carry high bids at Barrett-Jackson, simply because they haven’t cemented their status as a collector’s item. There are exceptions, though, like lot 428, a custom 2011 Mustang built by Auto Art Studio in Prescott, AZ. The modified pony car netted nearly six figures on Wednesday evening, with the proceeds of the sale going to charity.
While the generosity of the bidders at Barrett-Jackson surely helped raise the bidding, the car did boast quite a few impressive modifications. Items like the Kenne Bell supercharger, …

Ford Racing to sell the Boss 302 intake manifold through FRPP catalog

When Ford Racing released their performance parts catalog for 2011 last month, the most notable inclusion for 2011 Mustang owners was several parts from the new Boss 302 including the dash-mounted gauge pod, the Recaro seats and the front splitter from the Laguna Seca package. Now it looks like Ford Racing will be offering at least one more component from the Boss 302. This week several online Mustang retailers including American Muscle and Late Model Restoration listed the “runners-in-the-box” Boss 302 intake manifold available as a pre-order item.
Part # M-9424-M50BR, …
