Photo Gallery: Mustangs at the Grand-Am Daytona test session
The start of the Grand-Am racing season is just a few weeks away, and many of the teams headed out to Daytona International Speedway last weekend for a three day test session to prepare for the upcoming season. Many of the cars in the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge series were also in attendance, including no less than seven Ford Mustangs.
After a strong third place finish in the team standings and a second place finish in the manufacturers standings last year, the Mustangs look to be off to a good start to 2011 with a dominating performance at the test session. The No. 21 Frederick Motorsports Mustang FR500C posted the fastest time in the first day’s sessions, while the Multimatic Motorsports Mustang Boss 302R took the top spot on the second day.
