When Ford Racing released their performance parts catalog for 2011 last month, the most notable inclusion for 2011 Mustang owners was several parts from the new Boss 302 including the dash-mounted gauge pod, the Recaro seats and the front splitter from the Laguna Seca package. Now it looks like Ford Racing will be offering at least one more component from the Boss 302. This week several online Mustang retailers including American Muscle and Late Model Restoration listed the “runners-in-the-box” Boss 302 intake manifold available as a pre-order item.

Part # M-9424-M50BR, the intake manifold is a direct replacement for the stock manifold and is constructed of a lightweight composite material and comes with a black finish. There’s no official details about exactly how much more air the Boss 302 unit can flow compared to the stock manifold, but Ford Racing does state that a new tune is required after installation and that it is ideal for engines with superchargers, high-flow heads and upgraded camshafts. Retail pricing has yet to be officially announced, but expect it to be between $550 and $650 when Ford Racing starts shipping in early April.
