2012 Shelby GT350 Convertible

Shelby pulled the wraps of the 2012 GT350 at the Chicago Auto Show yesterday, marking the first time that the company has debuted a car at an auto show in more than fifty years. Under the covers were a duo of GT350 Convertibles – the first Shelby GT350 convertible since 1970 – showing off the Race Red and Kona Blue colors now available in addition to Winner White, the sole option in 2011.

MustangsDaily.com was on hand at the McCormick Place in Chicago to see the GT350 Convertible unveiled, and truth be told, we were instantly smitten with the car the second the covers were lifted off the cars. The Shelby exterior enhancements look fantastic in drop-top form, and the red and blue suit the car better than white. Shelby is planning on building just 350 cars for 2012 – coupe and convertible combined – and we have no doubt that they will have no trouble selling each and every last one.

We made sure to take plenty of pictures of both cars, including all the details from the custom stitching on the shift boot to the Ford Racing supercharger underneath the hood. You can see all of the pictures in the gallery below.
