Video: Edelbrock supercharges the Mustang’s 5.0L V8 and makes 600 horsepower on the dyno

Edelbrock 2011 Mustang Supercharger

Edelbrock first showed off their new E-Force supercharger system for the 2011+ Mustang GT at SEMA back in November, but at the time they didn’t announce any horsepower numbers. While Edelbrock still hasn’t stated anything officially, their latest video showing a blown 5.0 on an engine dyno gives us a better idea of what the E-Force is capable of on the Coyote V8.

Fitted with the upgraded 3.5-inch pulley kit (part #15820), the supercharged V8 put out just over 600 horsepower and 524 lb-f torque at the flywheel. That’s pretty impressive, considering 91 octane was used and the supercharger was only producing 6 psi of boost. We’ll bring you more details about the Edelbrock supercharger system for the 2011+ Mustang as soon as we hear it, but until then check out the video of the dyno below.
