Late Model Restoration Mustang RTR

The guys over at Late Model Restoration recently got the itch to replace their current track car, a 2000 Mustang Cobra R, and have just finished up this beautiful Mustang RTR. Starting out with a 2011 Mustang GT painted in Kona Blue, the LMR team went to work getting the car ready for the track by installing a Ford Racing handling pack, Powerslot rotors with Hawk HP Plus brake pads, Agent 47 front brake cooling kit, Steeda rear 13-inch rotors, Maximum Motorsports 6-point roll cage and a set of RTR wheels with Nitto 555 street tires. The under-hood modifications are simple yet effective, with the JLT carbon fiber intake and a tune from SCT improving both power and throttle response. The 5.0-liter V8 is also hooked up to Stainlessworks long tube headers, Bassani exhaust system and a Dynotech single-piece aluminum driveshaft.

Wanting to make the car really stand out, LMR then installed the RTR body kit including the new front splitter, rear spoiler and rear fascia. If that wasn’t enough, they then applied the RTR graphics in orange, and painted the wheels to match. The result is definitely eye-catching. You can check out some photos of the finished car below.
