2012 Ford Mustang Boss 302 Laguna Seca at Galpin Ford

Production of the 2012 Mustang Boss 302 began in late February at the Auto Alliance International (AAI) assembly plant in Flat Rock, MI, with the first cars being completed in the first part of March. Now the Boss 302s are finally beginning to arrive at dealerships around the country. As we reported last year, not every dealer will be receiving a Boss 302, with allocation being determined by previous Mustang sales as well as a lottery for smaller dealerships.

We recently visited Galpin Ford in Van Nuys, CA, the largest Ford dealership in the country, who had just received a black Boss 302 Laguna Seca that was displayed prominently in their showroom. The asking price? $90,000, nearly twice the retail price. While this seems to be the norm at many dealerships, we’ve also heard of many customers buying cars, both the standard Boss 302 as well as the standard Laguna Seca, at MSRP. If you’re in the market for a Boss 302, we suggest shopping around to find a dealer that’s willing to sell at or close to MSRP.

You can see the Boss 302 Laguna Seca on Galpin Ford’s showroom floor in the gallery below.
