Multimatic Motorsports Mustang Boss 302R on pole for tomorrow’s Grand-Am race at Lime Rock

Joe Foster earned his second GRAND-AM Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge Grand Sport pole position of the season Friday at Lime Rock Park and will lead a 25-car GS field to the green flag in Saturday’s Memorial Day Weekend Classic. Spy Photos: Next generation Cobra Jet caught testing with giant hood scoop

Ford has upgraded the Mustang Cobra Jet every few years since its reintroduction in 2008, and it looks like the next generation turnkey drag racer is already under development. Autoblog’s spy photographers caught what appears to be a Cobra Jet development mule undergoing testing at one of Ford’s private tracks in Michigan. Most noticeable in the photos is the massive scoop planted on the hood. The Ford Mustang Boss 302R was consistently one of the fastest car on track at this past weekend’s Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge Race at Virginia International Raceway. The No. 61 Roush Performance Boss 302R took the checkered flag on race day, narrowly beating out the BMW M3 driven by Bill Auberlen and Paul Dalla Lana.

Video: Contestants on SPEED’s Pass Time severely underestimate a Roush supercharged 2011 Mustang

If you’ve never seen the show Pass Time on SPEED TV, it essentially pits a trio of contestants against one another who have to guess the 1/4 mile time of various cars for cash prizes.
