Shelby to once again partner with Hertz for rent-a-racer Mustang?

Shelby and the Hertz rental car company have paired up successfully in the past, allowing customers to rent Shelby Mustangs both in 1966 and once again forty years later in 2006. According to Auto Week, the two might be working on yet another rent-a-racer based on the new Mustang 5.0 that would coincide with Shelby’s 50th anniversary. Hertz currently offers the Mustang GT in its lineup as part of the Adrenaline Collection.

For the fourth straight year, Ford Motor Company has created a unique, “one of one” aviation-themed vehicle for auction to benefit the EAA Young Eagles program. The one-of-a-kind 2011 “Blue Angels” Mustang GT, which honors the Centennial of Naval Aviation, will go to the highest bidder at the Young Eagles Auction during AirVenture 2011 at the annual Gathering of Eagles event on Thursday, July 28.

Grand-Am: Roush Performance Mustang Boss 302R finishes second at Road America

The Roush Performance Mustang Boss 302R added to their 2011 points total in Grand-Am’s Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge with a solid second place finish at the Road America 200 yesterday. This was the sixth consecutive podium finish for drivers Billy Johnson and Jack Roush Jr.

Mustang V6 sales hurt by the Ford F-150?

According to AutomotiveNews.com, the popularity of the V6-powered Ford F-150 may be hurting sales of the Mustang. “Last Ride” tribute Mustang to be built to honor Joe Gosinski of Chicane Sport Tuning

This past December a beloved member of the Mustang community, Joe Gosinski, was found murdered in his Chicane Sport Tuning shop in Torrance, CA shop.
