2012 Boss 302 Camshafts

For those owners of the 2011+ Mustang GT who want more performance from the 5.0-liter V8, Ford Racing has now made available the same camshafts that are used in the 2012 Mustang Boss 302. The high performance cams have a higher lift and duration  than the stock units – 13mm lift/290° duration vs 12mm/260° stock.

Several other changes or upgrades, however,  are necessary however,  to use the Boss 302 cams. The stock cylinder heads need to be modified for rocker arm clearance, or a set of Boss 302 cylinder heads  (part #s M-6049-M50BR and M-6050-M50BR) can also be used. The Boss 302 cams also require the use of the Boss 302 valve spring kit (part # M-6513-M50BR), and finally a custom calibration is required.

The Boss 302 camshafts are sold as in pairs, with one set for the intake side (part # M-6550-M50BINT) and one for the exhaust side (M-6550-M50BEXH). Each pair retails for $895.00.

What kind of power / torque gains would one see from these if they were used in conjunction with the boss302 cylinder heads?

I notice you have the intake cam at 13mm lift with a 290 duration. But Ford Racing have it listed at 13mm lift with a 263 duration. You are not the only one with details different to Ford Racing. Who is right?

Ford Racing lists a 13mm lift and 290 duration for the Boss 302 exhaust cams (M-6550-M50BEXH) while the intake cams (M-6550-M50BINT) have a 13mm lift and 263 duration. Sorry for the confusion.
