Hennessey Performance releases details for HPE700 package for the 2012 Mustang Boss 302
Last month Hennessey Performance announced their HPE650 package for the 2012 Mustang Boss 302, offering up 563 rwhp (around 650 flywheel horsepower) with the dyno video to prove it. We mentioned that Hennessey might be offering an even more powerful package, and now the Houston-based tuning company has released details on the HPE700.
Using the same TVS2300 supercharger system, the HPE700 packs a more powerful punch with a pulley upgrade as well as a Boost-A-Pump system to ensure that enough fuel is delivered to the 5.0-liter V8. The result is 700 flywheel horsepower at 7000 rpm. A cold air intake system, throttle body upgrade and high-flow injectors are also included standard, and items such as carbon fiber door sills are optional. As with all Hennessey products, each HPE700 is dyno tuned and road-tested at Hennessey’s facility, and all products come with a 3-year / 36,000 mile warranty. So they pretty much supercharge it, and then add badging, floor mats, plaques, and then it’s a whole new “special edition” mustang?! Oh wait, let’s not forget about the option door sills! Getting pretty sick of that kind of crap. My mustang has more done to it than that, maybe I should release a special edition mustang too.
