New Product: K&N Cold Air Intake for the 2010+ Shelby GT500
K&N has released a new cold air intake system for the 2010-2012 Shelby GT500. Part number 63-2579, the 63 Series AirCharger intake features a custom designed non-metallic rotationally molded intake tube attached to K&N’s lifetime high-flow cone air filter that allows for high air flow and only needs servicing every 100,000 miles. A heat shield is also included to keep out hot air from the engine bay and uses an opening that connects to the OEM fresh air duct. Installation is simple and only requires simple tools.
As for the performance of the intake system, K&N says that their dyno tests showed an increase of 30 horsepower at 5200 rpm and 31 lb-ft torque at 5200 rpm. As with all their products, K&N’s intake system comes with their million mile limited warranty.
