SEMA 2011: Shelby GT500 Super Snake Widebody
Earlier this week we showed you a preview of this very special Shelby GT500 Super Snake while it was still under construction at Galpin Auto Sports. The car is now finished and is on center stage at Galpin’s display here at the 2011 SEMA Show.
In addition to the standard features of the Super Snake, this particular car has been fitted with one of Galpin Auto Sport’s custom made widebody kits, adding no less than nine inches of width and fitting massive Pirelli front and rear tires in the wheel wells, 295/35/ZR20 front and 335/30/ZR20 rear. Under the hood isn’t the standard Super Snake engine as well, as a Kenne Bell 3.6L liquid-cooled supercharger has been installed on the 5.4-liter V8. Galpin says that the car produces and astounding 1000 horsepower at the rear wheels, which makes itself known through a JBA exhaust system and electric exhaust cutouts.
