Ford Mustang 2011 sales overview

2011 Ford Mustang Production Numbers

Ford Mustang sales ended their five month skid with a slight rebound in December, but it wasn’t nearly enough to match the sales figures of 2010. Customers purchased 5,057 Mustangs off dealer lots last month, an increase of more than 23% compared to the 3,865 sales in November of 2011, but it still fell just short of the December 2010 sales of 5,452.

With sales for 2011 concluded, we’ve put together an overview of the Mustang sales numbers in the chart above. As you can see, Mustangs sales started off extremely slow in January and February, and there were only two months in 2011 that beat sales numbers in 2010 (March and April). Overall Mustang sales for 2011 were down 4%, 70,438 compared to 73,716 in 2010.

With the introduction of the refreshed 2013 Mustang, hopefully Ford will start to see an increase in sales for 2012.

Is it just me or isn’t 5,507 an increase of 55 over 5,452???

It was a typo – actual sales for December 2011 were 5057.

Do these 2011 Mustang sales figures include all the speciality Mustangs like the Shelbys, ect?

The 2013 Mustangs certainly look like like the best Mustangs built to date IMO… but hopefully when the 2015 get revealed, I can get a 2014 GT for… well… a fire sale price! =)

The slow start could be due to the fact that dealers only had fully loaded mustangs on their lot and they were asking $35-$44k! I had to find a used 2011 (made in 2010) because i couldn’t find a new one with the options i wanted (which i still couldn’t find). I just wanted a 5.0, manual, with brembo’s…couldn’t find one across 7 states!
