Prices for the 1969-1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429 can be incredibly high, with a pristine examples going for deep into the six figures. A pair of 1970 models went up for sale at Barrett-Jackson in Scottsdale earlier this year, selling for $220,000 and $247,500, but each of those were outmatched by a 1969 Boss 429 sold at Barrett-Jackson in Orange County this weekend. The car features dark red paint with a black vinyl interior with options like power brakes, power steering and Magnum 500 chrome wheels, but more importantly it has just 28,169 miles on the odometer recently underwent a ground up restoration. All of those factors combined for a high bid of $230,000 and a final selling price of $253,000, the highest amount of any non-charity car at the auction.
