Just about every type of Mustang is up for auction here at Barrett-Jackson, as evidenced by this incredible 1967 ford Mustang Fastback. Built by Hot Rod Joe’s Rod & Custom in Lafayette, Louisiana, the car has been featured in Modified Mustangs & Fords and Popular Hot Rodding and has won numerous awards including the Mother’s Shine Award and Ford Design Award at SEMA. The Mustang features a full chassis from Scott’s Hot Rod, a supercharged 4.6-liter Cobra V8, 6-speed transmission, Ford 9-inch rear end and a custom-built exterior and interior. The $115,000 selling price might seem like a lot, but it’s probably a lot less than it cost to build the car.

Multiple award winnings include SEMA Mother’s Shine Award and Ford Design Award, Best Street Machine at Shades of the Past, Top Five for Street Machine of the Year at Goodguys and Car of the Year for Modified Mustang magazine. Magazine covers include Popular Hot Rodding, Modified Mustang & Ford and Cruising Style magazine. This Mustang is outfitted with a Scott’s Hot Rod full chassis, 13″ 6-piston brakes, 4.6 Liter DOHC Cobra engine with Kenne Bell Supercharger, 6-speed T-56 with twin disc McLeod clutch, Ford 9″ rear with 4.56 gear ratio and Truetrac posi-traction. The chassis has been fully welded and molded in, painted and polished. The body features many mods including shaved handles, shaved scoop on B-pillar, custom made one-off hood, custom made rear bumper fascia, stretched and lowered wheel well opening, shaved drip rails and topped off with a Butterscotch Pearl and satin metallic black stripes. The interior by Pro Auto Interior features hand-laid fiberglass console, many custom laser cut aluminum and stainless steel trim, one-off Classic Instruments cluster, full stereo with navigation system and custom Intro 18″ and 20″ wheels with Mickey Thompson tires. Don’t let the pretty underbelly fool you, its proven that it is a fully capable driver. This car was hand built by pro builder, Joe Brown, owner of Hot Rod Joe’s Rod & Custom in Lafayette, Louisiana. They have built numerous high quality rides from “Great 8” cars to SEMA cars and Goodguys winners.
