We would normally never recommend buying a SEMA show car. They’re usually put together last minute and are only constructed well enough to withstand the riggers of the show floor. We would have no such reservations about the Boy Racer Mustang built by Creations n’ Chrome, however. Originally built for the SEMA in 2011, Boy Racer is more than just a show car and was designed for one thing – to go fast. Well, it was designed to look good too; the chrome paint job is very real and not …

The #61 Roush Performance Mustang Boss 302R kicked off the 2013 Grand-Am season in style with a victory at Daytona Speedway last month, and now they are hoping to follow that up with another strong finish at this weekend’s race in Austin, TX. This will be the first time that the series will race on the new Circuit of the Americas track built specifically for the Formula 1 U.S. Grand Prix, so all of the teams will be on a level playing field when it comes to knowing the layout …

We’ve showed you some pretty spectacular bumper-dragging, fender-crunching, frame-smashing wheelstands before, but this latest one takes the cake as perhaps the most impressive ever. The feat was performed by Jere Etheridge in his twin-turbo 2000 Ford Mustang, who was competing at the “Lights Out 4″ drag race at the South Georgia Motorsports Park this past weekend. The run seemed to start smooth enough, with Etheridge launching cleanly off the line. Partially down the track, however, the nose starts to lift. For a brief second the front tires come back to …

Our first Readers’ Rides feature is actually two cars – Rich Trost’s 2012 Mustang Boss 302 and 2001 Mustang Bullitt. Rich is the owner and administrator of www.militarystangs.com and is currently on military assignment, meaning he hasn’t seen his pony cars since May of 2012. The Boss 302 is almost completely stock, save for Ford Racing’s TracKey, although he plans on adding an intake, exhaust system and new wheels. “I love everything that encompasses being in the Boss, from the sounds, the feelings, and the looks you get while driving …

Taking a look back at the articles we’ve written about Lethal Performance, it’s easy to see the Wellington, FL-based shop is very good at doing one thing – making Mustangs go very, very fast. We’ve showed you videos of their 2010 Shelby GT500 running a 9 second 1/4 mile to the first Boss 302 in the 10s. Their latest project is just as impressive, with Lethal Performance laying claim to the world’s fastest 2013 Shelby GT500. After fitting swapping out the car’s stock supercharger with a massive Whipple 4.0L blower …

The 2014 Ford Mustang doesn’t have much in the way of updates compared to the previous model year, highlighted by two new colors and the addition of appearance packages for both the V6 and GT. When the 2014 Mustang online configurator went live last month we took a look at the FP8 appearance package for the Mustang GT and didn’t notice anything too special. We somehow missed the FP6 package for the V6 model, though, but thankfully spotted it during our most recent time on Ford’s web site. While beauty …

A few weeks ago we clued you in to a very special Mustang up for sale by RK Motors of Charlotte, NC – the Classic Design Concepts 1967 Flashback Mustang. Now the company has yet another incredible Mustang up for grabs – the 1970 Ford Mustang “Boss Snake”. The car was the Good Guys’ promotional vehicle for 2010 and is inspired by two prototype Mustangs built in 1969 nicknamed the Quarter Horses featuring a Boss 429 powertrain with a Shelby fastback exterior. The builders of the car – Kaucher Kustoms …

Normally when we show you a drag racing video it features something like a Mustang Cobra Jet making a 7 second pass or doing a massive wheelie. This video is a little bit different, though. It comes from RM Auctions, who sells some of the most desirable collector cars in the world including two very rare 1965 Shelby GT350R race cars that were offered in the last year. The auction house found themselves with a pair of cars going up for sale at upcoming auctions – a 1966 Shelby GT350 …

Kenny Brown is helping keep things cool with their Front Brake Cooling Kits for owners of the 1994-2014 Mustang, SVT Cobra, Boss 302 and Shelby GT500. The new brake cooling kit is a quick and easy upgrade for performance street, open-track and racing applications. Kenny Brown has engineered an easy to install cooling duct that specifically directs the inlet where air can flow through the rotor veins rather than pushing air onto the swept portion of the rotor. This concept is much more efficient in cooling the disk, …

Strolling through the Ford display at the Chicago Auto Show last week we nearly walked right past this custom slot car track without giving it more than a glance. We ended up stopping to take a closer look, though, and we’re glad we did because it’s undoubtedly one of the coolest slot car tracks ever built. Designed and constructed by David Beattie of Slot Mods, who has built custom tracks for the likes of Jay Leno and Bobby Rahal, it features a layout inspired by the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca …
