SMS Supercars held its second annual car show and open house this weekend, and dozens of SMS and Saleen owners and enthusiasts made the trip to Corona, CA for the festivities. There were dozens of class awards given, and SMS employees were on hand to give tours of the new facility and show off the 2011 SMS 302 Mustang. Of course, Steve Saleen himself was on hand to sign plenty of autographs as well.

The eighth and final class of the Coronado Festival of Speed features production cars built up until 1966. These vehicles could be purchased at dealerships with a few performance and safety modifications. The 1965 and 1966 Shelby GT350 fits into this category, and several examples were in attendance at the event this past weekend to race around the runways at the Coronado naval base. The Trans-Am races of the late 1960s and early 1970s were the pinnacle of road racing for American muscle cars. Racing greats like Parnelli Jones, Mark Donohue, George Follmer raced with legendary cars like the Boss 302 Mustang, the Camaro Z28 and the Plymouth Barracuda. The Beach Cities Mustang Club held its 13th annual Mustangs at the Queen Mary show in Long Beach, CA this past weekend. More than 350 Mustangs were in attendance, including classics to 2010 models, as well as Shelby, Roush and Saleen models. Saleen also held their annual SaleenFest at the event, displaying their newly released 2010 435S Mustang. You can see photos of the event below.

This past weekend the 24th annual Fabulous Fords event was once again held at Knotts Berry Farm in Buena Park, CA. Hundreds of Mustangs attended the event to help celebrate the 45th anniversary of America’s favorite pony car. There was also a special section for Boss 302 owners, who gathered to commemorate the 40th anniversary of their cars. You can see pictures from the event in the gallery of over 100 images below.

The 2008 running of the Camp Steeda / SVT Owners Association (SVTOA) event at the historic Sebring International Raceway was once again a tremendous success. Long time Mustang fanatic and show car builder Jason Cenora has opened his own performance shop in Fullerton, CA, and the event was celebrated with a grand opening at the new facility. The dozens of Mustang owners that showed up for the event were a testament to his influence on the Mustang community, including the local Roush, Saleen, and Shelby clubs.
