Vaughn Gittin Jr. and the RTR Drift team traveled to Georgia for an action-packed weekend of Formula Drift fun on Saturday and a signature Smoke Show at Fort Gordon on Sunday. A contingent of Ford Mustangs Boss 302S race cars headed to Long Beach this past weekend for the third round of the SCCA Pirelli World Challenge series. Of particular note was the series debut of the Always Evolving race team, who brought out two brand new Boss 302S race cars for the event. Team drivers Erik Davis and Roger Rodas are rookies in the World Challenge, although they have competed in a variety of series previously. The second annual NMRA Cobra Jet Showdown presented by Jackie Jones Ford was once again held at Bradenton Motorsports Park in sunny Bradenton, Florida. The 2013 season-opening Cobra Jet showdown is always a good race as many Cobra Jet owners use it as a shakedown event for the NHRA Gatornationals in Gainesville, Florida.
