Available in 347, 363 and 427 cubic inch displacements, the short blocks all feature a SCAT forged steel crankshaft, forged I-beam connecting rods and forged Mahle pistons. The 347 and 363 short blocks fit many vehicles originally built with 289 or 302 blocks with 8.2-inch deck height, while the 427 short block’s deck height of 9.5 inches will fit in just about any Ford vehicle.

Owners of the new Shelby GT500 looking to swap out their stock exhaust system have quite a few options, the latest being from Ford Racing Performance Parts. FRPP has announced a new upgraded exhaust system with sport mufflers for the 2013+ Shelby GT500, part number M-5230-MSVTLB. Featuring the same quad-tip design as the stock mufflers, the system is constructed of T304 stainless steel and mandrel-bent tubing and provides a louder, throatier note than the factory units. Owners of the 2007-2012 Shelby GT500 might be jealous of the upgraded supercharger system in the 2013 GT500, but they don’t have to be. Ford Racing Performance Parts is now offering an upgrade kit that swaps out the 1.9-liter supercharger for the larger 2.3-liter TVS unit. Part number M-6066-MSVT23, the kit includes the supercharger with 68mm pulley, Cobra Jet oval throttle body and adapter and a 2013 GT500 supercharger belt.
